Joe and Nicole met through yoga—Nicole, the teacher; Joe, the dedicated practitioner who never missed his favorite Sunday class. Little did Nicole know, she had a secret admirer in the back row!
She paused teaching in Tahoe to spend time in Mexico, preparing for what she thought would be a permanent move.
But fate—and a little bit of Joe’s determination—had other plans. When Nicole returned to Tahoe for the summer, Joe caught wind that she was teaching again in South Lake. Without hesitation, he signed up for all of her upcoming classes.
The twist? They weren’t yoga classes—they were hot pilates! If you know Joe, you know he’s a very traditional yogi. The other twist? Since Nicole’s classes were freshly added to the schedule, Joe for several in a row was the only student enrolled. And so, there they were—just the two of them, enduring an unimaginable variety of planks in a 100° studio, pop music blasting, and Nicole snapping her fingers to keep the pace.
Eventually, after one particularly grueling class, they agreed to meet for lunch. Then another, a beach hang. Joe tried trail running, Nicole eventually tried golf. They fell in love, spending their time exploring Tahoe’s great outdoors, sharing tacos, flowing through yoga classes, and even taking Latin dance—all of which they still do to keep their love alive today!
But their greatest adventure yet? Their son, Noah. They are completely head over heels watching him grow into his own little person. And so it was a little yoga, a handful of core workouts, and some time in Tahoe lead to a lifetime of love and adventure.
